What is Rising Stars Academy?​

Stage Right Musical Theatre Company has a passion and dedication to the young artists in

our region. From its inception, Stage Right has striven to make productions accessible to

all ages, and with Rising Stars we have established an arts education initiative that allows

students to gain a foundation in the performing arts while also gaining important life skills.

These ideals guide us as an organization to improve and enrich the lives of the Young Artists and

Audiences involved with Rising Stars.

Who can participate in Rising Stars Academy?

The program is accessible to students ages 8-18. We are dedicated to

providing opportunities to young artists of all ages, ethnicity,

and backgrounds! We also proudly offer scholarships to those who need it.

We want YOU involved in Rising Stars Academy...we aren't going to let

anything stand in your way joining us!

Do you have to have experience in Theatre to participate?

Absolutely not. We welcome young artists of all ages to join us on stage.

No matter your experience, you will gain invaluable knowledge and an

unforgettable experience in the program. Have interests backstage? Rising

Stars is a perfect place to get that hands-on experience while working as a

team with your fellow young artists.

What opportunities are available through Rising Stars?

Rising Stars provides opportunities for Young Artists to learn acting, singing, and dancing in on-stage performances as well as the chance to tackle roles behind the scenes as an assistant director, stage manager, light board operator, and more. Our hope is for students with any interest in Theatre the chance to expand their skillset and experience through our programming.
